Good morning, I would like to understand how the licensing works. My engraver “Mr. Carve M1 Pro” is compatible with the LightBurn software starting from version 1.7 beta, and I am currently using the trial period. I have read the terms of purchase for the LightBurn license and it mentions that it is also valid for the public beta software. As of today, the beta version is 1.6, which is not compatible with my machine. How does this work? If I buy the license now, will it be valid for version 1.7, or will I be wasting time and money?
Hello!
Your License key is perpetual - and you have 365 days of free updates.
Given that Galvo is an Add-On license, you must add it to a base license.
What other lasers do you have?
If you have a CO2, you might use DSP+Galvo
If you have a Diode, you need only Gcode+Galvo
Your Key will be also valid to UP to 3 concurrent installations.
This doesn’t sound quite right or maybe a bit awkward.
You have 3 initial purchase options:
- Galvo license (which includes g-code capability)
- DSP license (which includes g-code capability)
- G-code only
Additionally, you can add-on these capabilities as an upgrade to any previously purchased license:
- Galvo
- DSP
The way the pricing works, upgrading or buying in any combination gets you to the same price at the end.
You phrased it better yes! Thanks
ok perfect. Tks all
