LightBurn 2.2.00 Early Access — RC-3

RC-3 of the LightBurn 2.2 Early Access period is available now.

Download here:

As a reminder, you can install Early Access releases side-by-side with the latest official release. That means trying it out won’t overwrite any of your settings, and if you encounter any show-stopping bugs, you can immediately switch back to the live version and keep working.

LightBurn 2.2 is our first release to have a design/layout feature (True Nest) limited to Pro licenses only. If you have a Core license, head to Help → License Management and click the Trial Pro button to get access to LightBurn Pro for two weeks.

Be sure to report issues or give us feedback by email or here on our forum!

  • The Z axis homing direction, homing switch level, limit switch level and jog direction radio buttons could show neither option selected.
  • Stepper speed and homing timeout spin boxes in Device Settings and External Axis Setup clamped imported values, silently halving a fast Z axis and capping its homing timeout.
  • Framing or sending a design with split marking enabled from the main window no longer reports No shapes in bounds.
  • The frame preview for a split marking or rotary job moved the external axis using the page axis number instead of the motor port.
  • EzCad3 external axis commands enabled the controller limit switch mode whenever homing was enabled, so an axis with homing but no limit switches homed away from its switch and ignored the Homing Direction setting.
  • EzCad3 external axis homing used a fixed 30 second timeout instead of the go-home timeout imported from Motors.ini, aborting slow homing moves partway through.
  • The steps distance of a split marking or rotary axis was not saved on EzCad3 devices and reverted to one unit each time the dialog was reopened.

In RC-3, when a lens calibration (“Capture Calibration Frames”) is performed, the displayed image is mirrored and therefore unusable, there is no possibility to correct it from the user side.

This has been adressed already. For my tests all cameras were flipped. But this isnt always the case. So now this feature can be toggled during this calibration wizard step

Either I need new glasses or what you are showing does not exist in the MacOS version (RC-3)

Ah. Sorry for the confusion. This toggle will only be available in the next RC.

… in RC-4 ??

I just had a crash of LB - RC3, on MacOS, while working with the camera settings…
Here is the log file:
LB-Crash-01-10-26.txt (272.2 KB)

the file attribute must be changed to pdf

Thanks for this catch. I will look into it.
