Lightburn $32 not saving in settings using Windows 11

After running Windows 7 as long as I could I was finally forced to upgrade my computer and operating system to be able to continue upgrades on Lightburn. Now I am running the most current Lightburn and Windows 11 Pro.

I’ve been using an Atomstack X30 Pro diode for about 2 years with Lightburn no issues til now. The laser homes when powered on but wont let me burn or move unless I complete another step. I figured out I need to go to the Machine Settings and turn $32 off, and then back on in one motion, then it makes me save/write it each time I use it. The next symptom may or may not be part of the issue but sometimes when the file has completed and it returns to the start point the progress bar stays blue but says 100% and will not let me move the axis or select a new file. The only way to wake it up is to either select a new port and return to the actual machine port its using or close and restart the lightburn software.

Otherwise it works fine, previous burn settings save just fine. Its just really annoying to have to reset these settings each use. Thank for the help

The firmware issue is not related to Windows; it’s a laser thing.

If the laser stays at 100% after finishing, it’s usually a USB connection issue. Try exchanging the usb cord and try again.

Update to the $32 not saving. I foundit in Device Settings/Gcode/Fetch settings on connect tab was off. Turned it on no more problem.

I havent had the issue for a while. But when I did it didnt start unitl I updated the operating system to Win 11 Pro. The hardware hasnt changed in 2 years. But thanks for the tip.
