I’ve installed Lightburn, I have windows 11. it acts laggy. I go to click and drag and its sluggish. I have tried running it in safe mode and it performs fine! I’ve checked in my task manger while running the software and everything is running at normal percentages. any help would be greatly appreciated! thank you!
I’ll take a wild guess that some other process is eating up your CPU time. Be sure to sort the task manager based on either CPU or disk usage.
I do open up the task manager and monitor the percentages while lightburn and other programs are running and nothing is jumping up and overloading anything. This is frustrating because i need lightburn to run my new fiber laser.
First, I’m no expert here, rather I’m a newbie, just FYI. So my thoughts are such that I’m wondering if your machine is connected via a USB Hub or connected to the computer directly? If a Hub, is it a 3.0 or higher? Is that hub being shared with other devices? Next, I’d uninstall the software completely and reinstall. Re calibrate as needed. I’m also not sure about Windows 11 being a possible issue as I’ve not yet migrated mine to to 11 yet. Antivirus getting in the way?
So the thing is… i have no machine connected to my computer. I do have my Xtool P2 connected via wifi, but it uses a completely different software. What is funny though, is the software on there acts fine until you go to editing png images or similar. Anyhow i have no machine linked with lightburn yet, as i am still waiting for my fiber laser to come in. This is why I’m trying to figure what’s going on? Thank you! Oh… and the only Antivirus i have is Windows Defender
If you are connecting with Wifi, I’m have sure thoughts that it’ll cause lagging issue. I’m pretty confident that I read in the LB information that it should always be used with USB direct connection. Now having said that, please pardon me in case I’m getting LB possibly confused with my actual machine instructions.
I don’t have any machine linked to it yet. I went to my friends house and he downloaded to his computer and it worked fine. he does have windows 10 though.
Just so you know… i bought another computer and installed lightburn on it and it is perfectly fine. Guess it was my old computer? Even though it was less than a year old. Totally weird.
Might have needed manual loading of drivers. Hard to know but happy you figured it out.
