Lightburn acting strange

I’m running a K40 Monport with a Lightburn compatible controller and Windows 10 home edition.
My K40 has been doing great, but today it has started stopping in the middle of a burn. It doesn’t matter if I’m cutting or burning it just stops. I restarted it several times (complete shutdown) and now it comes up with message

“cut out of bounds-Lightburn 1.7.07”
“Cut may be out of bounds due to overscan settings”

So I reset to factory defaults and now I’m getting

ALARM:2-Common user error-Lightburn 1.7.07

ALARM:2 is a GRBL error that means you have tried to send your laser out of it’s usable area and the laser has prevented this.
You are currently not using “Absolute Coords” as your start from setting which could be the case…etc

Also I notice when reset it to factory defaults a lot of the settings I had changed didn’t go back to the original settings, but stayed where they had previously where before reset.
Any and all answers appreciated.

No idea what kind of controller you’re using, but if I do a factory reset with my machine, everything is deleted, so (I) should never do that  I don’t know if that’s also the case with a GRBL machine, but I’ll never use a factory reset on my diode laser either. Proper troubleshooting, step by step always brings (me) the best solution to a problem.
I wonder what must have changed in your machine setup from one day to the next that you choose such a drastic step.
