From a beginner laser crafter - I apologize if this question has been answered before. I am new to this hobby and still learning the lingo. I am also learning lightburn. My question is, can you send projects to the GlowForge Aura straight from Lightburn??
One of the criticisms traditionally of Glowforge lasers is that they rely on proprietary online only software to function and will not work with 3rd party software.
I’m not super familiar with all of Glowforge’s product lineup but it doesn’t seem like the Aura differs from this. If that’s the case then no, this laser would not work with LightBurn.

Thank you, that is what I was pretty much assuming based on my trials and fumbling thru. I can upload and then download files in to Glowforge but it is still cumbersome to do that because Glowforge sw is so not user friendly and very limited… Thank you so much for confirming what I was pretty much thinking.
Glowforge certainly have their pros and cons and while there’s much to like about the platform, if software choice is a priority then there’s really little choice. If you’re still within your return period then perhaps that’s an option if the software isn’t something you can live with.
