Does anyone knows, will LightBurn works with Ruida RDC8445S ?
I try trial version, and Ruida always in disconnected state, Serial USB/Ethernet IP both not works.
PS: RDWorks 8 connected success.
Which mode did you use with RDWorks?
It should work, as it’s supposedly an upgrade from the 6445 series. I’d suggest you put it on your lan and use via Ethernet.
I know some of the newer controllers, use an encrypted connection.
RDWorks detect controller by USB and IP (WiFi) - both success
Lightburn will have to tell you if it works via wireless connection. Mine is connected to the lan via a wifi bridge to Ethernet. There is no wifi on mine unless I put a wireless bridge in front of it.
Can you see the device on your PC? It could be that the driver on your end is incorrect. However, most machines go through the standard IP protocol and I’d think it’d work with yours, no matter the network.
Ok, I will try connect Ruida - PC thru direct Ethernet cable RJ-45 and ping it.
Anyway do not understand difference between media types (ruida connect with PC over WiFi network - same TCP/UDP like for Ethernet) or Im wrong?
The suggested method is via your lan, not a direct connection to your pc. I would think if things are setup properly it should work over your wireless lan.
Although you can direct connect, there is some networking you need to know about to get this to work – usually.
I don’t know your controller, such as if it’s IP is static or dynamic. They seem to imply it’s a dynamic IP, but could never find it in print, either way.
I noticed they have a driver, but haven’t found a manual.
