Just set up my new Falcon2 Pro, downloaded and installed the latest (1.7.03) Lightburn, along with Creality’s Lightburn driver (dated 11/23/2023) that was provided with on the thumb drive that came with the machine. My computer is a PC running Windows 10.
When I go to LaserTools-> Calibrate Camera Lens I see the Creality Falcon Camera listed there, but when I select it there is no camera view.
Further, if I go to the Device Manager and look under Cameras the Creality Falcon Camera is listed there. Also under Ports (COM & LPT) it shows USB Serial Device (COM3).
So I have concluded that the camera is attached t the PC and Windows knows that it is attached, but Lightburn cannot find it.
I have tried closing Lightuburn and restarting it. Also turned my computer off and on.
So I’m hoping others can provide some suggestions on how to get the camera to work with Lightburn.
For what it’s worth, the Windows Camera App finds the Crealty’s camera and displays it no problem. But Lightburn cannot find it. Still looking for some help, thank you.
The Creality website has firmware updates from 2024, but first, I would contact Creality support for proper guidance.
Don’t run tests; seek help from your equipment’s support team.
Firmware updates should only be done if there’s an issue you can’t resolve otherwise—a simple power outage during the upgrade could render your machine unusable.
If they provide the driver, they should definitely know the answer to this.
I am having the exact same issue. Unfortunately, can’t call Creality Customer Service, help message only, so waiting on a response from Creality. I can see the Creality Camera option under Lightburn Laser Tools, but there is no camera preview there. When I check under Device Manager on my laptop, I can see the camera as well as a preview (of the inside of my engraver). Would really appreciate any assistance. This thing has been a pain to set up so far. Couldn’t get it to run at first, but finally got it working somehow. Then tried quite a long time to get air assist to run. After finally doing an internet search, I noticed that some users couldn’t get the air assist to run with the supplied micro SD card, but started up with Lightburn. That did work. Now I can’t get the camera to work with Lightburn. Goodness.
