I aways seem to have challenges getting lightburn to work with my cnc and open builds blackl box controller. I use light burn for my co2 laser with no issues.
Ive set the software to cnc mode, homed the machine. imported my job but it keeps saying machine out of bounds. I am using user origin for my wcs.
I often keep having to reset my device to move the axis around. Anything i am missing?
You most likely have your machine origin set incorrectly. I’m not very familiar with using CNC with laser but I know the origin must be set to the corner it homes to. This is set in device settings, not the job origin you show in your screenshot. Those are 2 different things. See if this video helps.
ive sort it by putting this command into console after homing G10 L2 P1 X0 Y0
still have problems with it stopping half way through jobs. Works fine outside of lightburn using cnc mode.
It also goes into “busy” after homing and needs a reset. Works fine using the cnc software so appears to be specific when using LB
Any of LB devs look at these posts? The openbuilds dev has asked to see if this is a bug in LB as the machine operates fine when using the openbuilds software.
