Lightburn connection with HILaser Z6 Genmitsu

Hi, maybe somebody can help me to know if there is a possibility to connect the lightburn software with an HILaser Z6 Genmitsu ?

Best answer is to download the Lightburn Trial and see if you can connect.

Hi thanks, I have already lightburn…the issue is that this machine do not have ethernet or usb serial port. Maybe there is any other hardware modification to make the comunication for lightburn ?

Are you talking about your computer? I am positive the Z6 has at least a USB input, and possibly Wifi and Bluetooth as well.

Maybe an image of what you have will help.

If this is the machine:

Z6 20W Dual Laser Machine Engraver, Fast Metal Etching, Desktop & Handheld

Then it’s not at all obvious how their control program connects to the machine. There is no mention of WiFi and the manual has no connection configuration, so it seems to be a standalone machine running a program stored on the USB drive.

The fact that they do not mention “LightBurn” anywhere in the features suggests LightBurn cannot control it, nor can it use G-Code files generated by LightBurn.

This seems unlikely, because the machine’s firmware must support the new hardware. If it does not now have a suitable Ethernet / USB port, you (almost certainly) cannot hack a jack in the back and have it work.

Hi is not my computer. The machine have only one usb reader port to upload firmware update and vector file…I think there is no way for lightburn…Thanks for help !
