Lightburn crashed since updated to 2.x

HI,

I’ve recently updated from 1.6 to 2.x, and tried different versions of 2.x. and my LB keeps crashing since 2.x update. anyone has the same issues? anyone got any fix for it? Running MBP and latest OS.

Any help would be appreciated

Did you have a LightBurn pop-up window?
And followed the instructions:

If you can provide a crash log that would help a great deal. “It’s crashing” doesn’t tell us anything about why that’s happening, and since it’s not happening to everyone, we must assume it’s something different on your system.

When you say it’s crashing, is it actually just taking a really long time to start?

My apologies, Lightburn was not really crashing, it is freezing and won’t respond. I need to terminate it. the solution is to go back to previous versions as for now. I’ve even waited several times when opening the program. The latest version that is “working” is 2.0.05, however it freezes when I switch between lasers unless performed when starting program.
LB is freezing/not responding and i’m waiting for 5 minutes+ each time. restarted all HW etc.

This is all new, since I updated 1-2 weeks ago from 1.7 or something (where this never happened)

I’m up for any adjustment to make it not happening. it’s very annoying when you have a bunch of stuff to engrave.

What lasers do you have? (More specifically what type of controller / device profile in LightBurn)

When you switch between lasers, how are you doing it?

On MacOS when something is frozen you can create what’s called a Spin Dump - it’s easy, and would give us information about what the software is doing when it freezes.

This is for PhotoShop, but just substitute “LightBurn” and the process is the same: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/how-to-get-a-process-sample-or-spindump.html
