LightBurn crashes on startup since v2.0

Hi everyone, I’m experiencing a consistent crash when launching LightBurn v2.0.04 on an HP t630 Thin Client. I’ve tested this on both Windows 10 and Windows 11 LTSC, and the issue persists across both systems.

As soon as I launch the software, I get the message: “LightBurn has crashed”

Here’s the crash log:

System details:

  • Device: HP t630 Thin Client
  • CPU: AMD GX-420GI
  • GPU: Integrated Radeon R6E
  • OS: Windows 10 Pro & Windows 11 LTSC (tested both)
  • RAM: 8 GB

What I’ve tried so far:

  • Clean reinstall of LightBurn
  • Installed latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables (x64 and x86)
  • Ran LightBurn in compatibility mode (Windows 7/8)
  • Updated graphics drivers from AMD
  • Checked for Windows updates
  • Performed a clean OS installation on both systems

I’m out of ideas at this point. If anyone has suggestions or can help, I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

Simone

The Lightburn crash log will be better to submit.

Not possible. Lightburn will not run below Win10.

Good morning, unfortunately I tried to activate debugging when starting the software by adding -d but an empty text log file is generated.

Thanks
Simone

I think sending an email to Support@LightburnSoftware.com is a good idea. Include a link to this thread.

Good morning, after contacting technical support, I found the cause of the problem. Using the “N” version of Windows LTSC, some Media Packs necessary for proper functioning were missing.

I reinstalled the operating system using the non-N version, and it works perfectly!

Now I have probably linked the cause of the problem to the webcam, which was not recognized and then caused the software to crash.

I am very happy to have found the cause of the problem.

Thank you all for your support.

Have a nice day.
Simone
