I have a new Windows Surface 7 laptop and I downloaded the current version of LB 1.7.08. I tried to connect the laser and realized there is a driver error. I’ve included an image of the error. I am using a Gweike Cloud RF laser. Has anyone else experienced this?
I tried a number of times to re-install LB without success. I also tried to copy the driver from a computer with LB installed without success.
The driver installation is not the task of LB. Refer to the manufacturer’s manual and website to get the correct driver.
For the Gweike RF, the driver can be downloaded from here: https://api.gweikecloud.com/storage/lightburn.zip
It’s an FTDI driver and the one included in the LightBurn installer should work too.
If you run the latest installer, check this box in the last step before clicking “finish”:
