Buon giorno a tutti.
Utilizzo Lightburn su un pc con Windows 10 e non ho mai avuto nessun problema di configurazione o utilizzo. Accendo il laser (Atomstack A10 V2) avvio Lightburn il laser esegue il posizionamento in Home, nel mio caso in basso a sinistra, poi parto a fare tutto quello che devo fare.
Come noto tra poco il supporto di Windows 10 andrà a finire e visto che non vorrei cambiare il pc ho installato per ora in dualboot Linux.
Non riesco però a collegare il laser al pc.
Nella pagina LASER di Lightbun mi appare Sisconnected.
Chi sa darmi un aiuto in merito tenendo presente che non conosco per nulla Linux?

I use Lightburn on a Windows 10 PC and have never had any problems with its configuration or use. I turn on the laser (Atomstack A10 V2), launch Lightburn, and the laser automatically positions itself in the Home screen—in my case, the bottom left—then I start doing everything I need to do.
As I know, Windows 10 support will soon end, and since I don’t want to replace my PC, I’ve installed Linux in dual boot mode for now.
However, I can’t connect the laser to my PC.
The Lightburn LASER page says Sisconnected.
Can anyone help me with this, considering I’m completely new to Linux?

For Lightburn Linux, it has already expired. I think v1.7.08 was the last version that would run on Linux.
As for Windows 10, non-support does not mean it stops working. You, and I, will continue to use it until Lightburn does not support it.
Ditto for LightBurn for Linux. 1.7.08 will continue to work, and we will support users who are using it, it just won’t receive future updates. The distinction is important.
@Lorenzo - The most common issue we see is the user profile you have not having “dial-out” permissions, IE permission to access the serial ports. This is mentioned on our Linux configuration page here: Linux Installation - LightBurn Documentation
Specifically, I mean this part:
Open a terminal and run the following command. When complete, be sure to log out and log back in to refresh permissions:
sudo adduser $USER dialout && sudo adduser $USER tty
Have you done that?

Allora da terminale ho eseguito il comando che mi hai consigliato.
La risposta che mi rilascia il comando è che faccio gia parte del gruppo dialout e del gruppo tty. Essendo alle primissime armi non so cosa voglia dire ma non mi pare un messaggio critico e che possa creare preoccupazioni.
Ho avviato Lightburn ed ora nella finestra Laser mi da Ready ma il laser non va in posizione Home come impostato Durante la configurazione iniziale.
Ho provato anche a cancellare la macchina precedentemente creata e crearne una nuova, ma anche ora il alser non si muove. Se può servire durante la configurazione ho scelto l’opzione GRBL in quanto la fuonzine trova laser non ha trovato nulla ma questo me lo ha fatto anche con Windows.
What is the Console Window saying when you initially start up? Copy and paste the text in a Reply (no images please).
Do you still get the Disconnected message?
If all possible, I recommend you continue to use Windows. It was working.

Allora sembra che abbiamo fatto un grosso passo in avanti.
Questa sera ho acceso il pc in modalita Linux, acceso il laser e avviato LightBurn e magicamente il laser è tornato nella posizione Home.
Credo per ora di aver risolto grazie e te il mio problema.
In settimana ho in programma di tagliare delle ordinate e delle centine per un aeromodello che pian piano sto costruendo.

So it seems we’ve made a big step forward.
This evening I turned on my PC in Linux mode, turned on the laser, and launched LightBurn, and magically the laser returned to its home position.
I think I’ve solved my problem for now, thanks to you.
This week, I plan to cut some stringers and ribs for a model airplane that I’m slowly building.
