Lightburn engraving speed won't set higher than 7000mmsec

Hi I’m using the Commarker B4 20W and used to be able to set my speed to 15000mm/sec now it will only set to 7000mm/sec max
Does any one know how to fix the problem?

It’s at the bottom of the device settings window.

Now I have to ask, what are you marking at 15,000mm/s?

I engrave pilot device labels 48mm X 44mm black covered aluminium with power setting to 20% and speed set to 15000mm/s, the labels does not need high power and mark very good.
That been said I find that 7000mm/s with a setting of 1% power works best and only takes 25 seconds to mark

I’ve done some experimenting on text at high speed on black business cards, got good results with Q-Pulse = 1 but a lot more power, cards have a relatively thick coating and the ones I use are glossy. Need the power or I get a thin tail at the start. Never tried over 6000mm/s though. Do you have an USB microscope? I would really like to see a closeup if you have time.
Thanks.

Hi Al

Sorry no I don’t have a USB Microscope never needed one, my Fibre laser does not have a setting for Q-Pulse I have a Commarker B4

I’m ordering a USB microscope and will send you some screen shots of my work pertaining to my settings

If you own a document scanner, it can outperform some of the USB microscopes at the highest DPI.

So Ive seen.
Usb microscope is a lot faster if you’re doing a lot of back and fourth. (I would assume)
Mounted one (50-500X) on a boom so I can hover just outside the beam. Another one that is the microscope style (500-2000X). Use the heck out of both of them.
