so im trying out the 2.0 and ive come across a annoying function
so i am running a longer ray5 20w and when you use a 20w you lose 25mm from the x and y axis and when you launch Lightburn 2.0 it keeps poping up with a message about incorrect work bed size there is no way to make it stop poping up
I don’t think a Beta or RC is intended for people who can’t interact with deress machines and/or LightBurn. It is very important for LB to get feedback that they can use for troubleshooting and improving a non -released new version of their program.
You can write your experiences with this RC in the same thread you got the link to RC from and install the last functioning (for you) version of LB again.
The RC is for more experienced users that are willing to share their experience and…
That said, you shouldn’t have to mess with that kind of stuff. The manufacturer should provide files with settings to fully inform your personal copy of LightBurn on how to control and operate your engraver correctly.
On a diode laser, If you have swapped laser modules to a physically larger device, you will need to adjust your firmware settings to reflect the reduced workspace, and adjust the settings in LightBurn to match.
When a laser engraver is equipped with limit switches, swapping to a larger module can prevent the switches from triggering. It’s a mechanical nuance that is readily overlooked on some devices.
I suspect the Firmware (on the control board of your device) is write-resistant and that setting changes (if allowed) do not persist beyond the next power cycle. It’s also possible for manufacturers of laser engravers to lock users out of temporary changes to settings.
