will lightburn galvo software run a CO2 and fiber laser
Yes, as long as you have a supported controller in the co2 machine. If it’s running a supported DSP controller, you’d need the DSP license in your LightBurn as well. You can see if you have it in Help/License Management. If you don’t have DSP, you can add it to your license from this link.
Hello,
I have a CO2 and an a fibre laser, and I run both with lightburn with no issues at all
and an couple led grbl machines… all work with Lightburn …
With fiber, if they have an EZCad2 board they work with Lightburn… the newer EZCad3 is not supported.
Good luck
this is beyond the scope of the post, and i apologize for this, but FIBRE is the correct english spelling ( I do not now about USA)… for reference this link from Southampton university:
https://www.orc.soton.ac.uk/how-fibre-lasers-work
so if you want to laugh at someone that is trying to help and is giving advice, you are welcome, but check your fact before mocking people.
I apologize, we all do typo’s … there was no intent to offend you, just make you chuckle
If it’s a joke on anyone, it’s me
I’m American, we’re known for butchering the English language…
American spelling is Fiber, like theater, and center.
British English spelling is Fibre, like theatre, and centre.
It’s fun knowing things.
This is from Etymology dictionary…
-re
word-ending that sometimes distinguish British from American English. In the U.S., the change from -re to -er (to match pronunciation) in words such as fibre, centre, theatre began in late 18c. and became standard there over the next 25 years at the urging of Noah Webster (the 1804 edition of his speller, and especially his 1806 dictionary). The -re spelling, like -our, however, had the authority of Johnson’s dictionary behind it and was unmoved in Britain, where it came to be a point of national pride, contra the Yankees.
I meant it in jest, assuming he types like I do… There was no intention of pointing out anyone … we all fat finger stuff… It being an attack on British Pride never entered my mind.
I see the end of comedy…
