Good morning! So I bought a laser engraver a while back, Creality Falcon2 22w, I engraved the grid into a spoil board and everything lined up perfectly, until about a week ago and now everything is so far off and not lined up. I cut mounts for the feet and screwed them in to the spoil board so it couldn’t move out of position. I have no idea what’s going on and I’m fairly new to this, so any help would be great! Thank you!
What you are expecting is only true if (1) you have Homing switches and use them, and (2) you are working in Absolute Coordinates. If you did this before burning the grid lines, then you should still be aligned to them. Anchoring the feet is also good.
I have and use homing switches and yes it is in absolute coordinates, it lined up fine for everything I’ve done until recently and that’s what’s confusing. I’ve literally changed no settings. I talked to the company and they’re hopefully just sending me a new machine, thank you for the reply.
Is it off at 0,0?
Not only must you use homing, but the home must be very repeatable.
The machine mechanicals must also tight and right so there is no lost movement.
It is not off at 0,0
Nothing seems loose that was the first thing I checked.
