Hi all,
I’m using a diode laser with LightBurn and would like to assign a hotkey to the Fire button. I couldn’t find this in the hotkey settings.
Is there a way to do this, or any workaround?
Thanks!

Anything that’s in an area that can cause your machine to lase remotely is likely not going to get that operation.
I understand it might be OK in your circumstances.
I don’t use a visible laser anymore. I don’t seem to remember that I had to turn it on, it turned on when I used it to frame.
One of the Lightburn people, like @Aaron.F , would likely give you more of a definitive answer on how to do what you want, if possible.

There is no hotkey for the fire button, nor will there ever be. Safety reasons.
Thanks… Didn’t think so, but I’m a bit behind on current software.

I can’t fully understand the security concerns, given that the program can be run with low power. Also, the laser can be started via hotkey. I’m currently working on a Bluetooth remote control for Lightburn to simplify the alignment of parts on my laser engraving machine. That’s why I’m asking.
