I have a Creality Falcon Pro 10W laser and I’ve had issues with the Lightburn jobs halting a couple of seconds into the job. The laser will start and then stop, but the timer is still running as if it was operating.
I also noticed that certain power/speed will cause it to stop. When copying the artwork to a new layer and using default settings (6000/mm min @ 20%) - it seems to work fine. If these settings don’t work, I have to turn off the machine and reconnect it.
I’m new to Lightburn and all the commands/console and I was hoping someone could help me out. I can start a job and send over any data/errors from the console and/or send screenshots of my Lightburn settings.
Help us see what you’re seeing. Copy and paste the contents of the Console window when the job fails. Please post a screenshot of your entire Lightburn screen with your project loaded and the Cuts/Layers Panel and Laser Panel visible. Also post a screenshot of the Settings Window (Gears icon) with the Units and Grids tab visible and post a screenshot of the Device Settings Window (Wrench and Screwdriver icon).

Most of the time Alarm 3 is caused by communication issues, i.e. a bad USB Cable. The cables that come with the machines are often not of the highest quality. I would suggest trying a good quality USB cable first. One with the ferrite cores on the ends and see if that resolves your issue.
Occasionally there is a large power drain on the same circuit which could also cause issues, or electromagnet interference from a motor running nearby. Think table saw or refrigerator. But a good cable usually prevents those issues as well.
