Lightburn - Linux

@LightBurn
Saw the interview on “Laser Lounge” and there was a podcast a few weeks ago, enjoyed both.
But I really want to thank you for supporting Linux, I heard you mentioned in the interview that Linux is less than 2% of the LB users. Most companies wouldn’t want to bother with Linux just because of the low number of actual users.
Glad to use a product that I don’t have to jump through hoops to get a application running be it WINE or some VM machine.
All my machines are primary Linux… (Laptops, Desktop, the one connected to Laser, and my CNC)
Get that CNC alternative to Vectric going! :slight_smile:

How many hobbyists use a laser and run Linux…? I wouldn’t have the fiber if it weren’t for Lightburn for Linux…

I’m pretty sure that Lightburn knows what percentage of user are running some form of Linux…

Be interesting to know…

Anyway, I’m with you and big :+1: for Lightburn, Linux and the developers that made it come together.

Welcome. :slight_smile:

And David’s numbers are about right (maybe even a little less).

Thanks… that’s sad… at least these numbers…

If you think about it… 2% of millions, maybe billions of users is still a pretty healthy number… of course we don’t include servers… do we…? doubt they’re running Lightburn anyway…

Great thing about Linux, is it just works.

Pass the thanks down the isle to your developers… In my decades of years in the computer industry, I’ve never deal with such a great product… it still amazes me…

Kudos on the 3d slice option… it’s been great fun :exploding_head:

Take care and have a wonderful year, all of you…
