I found this post with a user with the same problem. The post closed without resolution. Please help. I miss lightburn.
Hoping I can find someone who has had this issue that can talk me through it or send me in a new troubleshooting direction.
I’ve had this D1 pro for a few years. I have really enjoyed it. I have the extension and a rotary as well. I have not had any issues that I have not been able to figure out. It had been running fine with no noticeable issues leading up to this currently vexing issue. Once I got proficient on Lightburn(LB), I have used almost exclusively. The laptop I was using to run Xtool Creative Space(XCS) and LB recently went bad and i had to replace it. It was a Core i3 and and worked fine for LB and XCS but wasnt powerful enough to upgrade to windows 11 so it ran windows 10. It finally died and I replaced it with a HP Celeron n4120. I loaded XCS onto the new laptop and I have sicne been unsuccessful in returning LB to its previous operability. I have assumed it’s a XCS software or firmware issue. I have gone back and forth with xtool tech support but I ultimately failed at identifying symptoms that pointed to XCS.
The quick problem statement is:
I bought a computer and loaded the latest versions of xcs and LB and validated latest version of firmware. Since changing, I have not been able to engrave or burn using LB. LB will frame correctly but not process correctly. When I press start, the laser head fan cycles and the head immediately travels to the home position.
Prior to changing computers, while using LB I had been getting intermittent limit switch alarms after the completion of whatever operation. It never effected the cut or engraving, I would press the button to clear the alarm and didn’t think much of it.
In XCS, I have also experienced intermittent limit switch alarms but I have been unable reproduce and catch in a picture.
I have suspected its a driver, firmware, or motherboard issue. I have the latest driver. I bought a new board from xtool and installed with no change.
