Lightburn losing data and postion with when cutting

Hi,

We are having issues with some student works. Our laser is skipping lines on g-code, resulting wrong placement of the cuts. Is there some workaround on this?

This happens regulary, but not every time.

We are using C02-laser with Ruida RDC6445S controller. Vectors are been drawn with LightBurn. Data is transfered via usb-cable.

Below there´s picture of failure (Letter U, cirles are correct). And cutting files are attached.

Hope you can help us out, thanks!

This looks like a communication issue. I’d suggest one or more of the following:

  1. Swap USB cable to a high quality cable. Avoid passive hubs or long runs.
  2. Switch to Ethernet
  3. Switch to LightBurn Bridge

If none of those are currently practical, you could prove out the hypothesis by transferring the RD files on USB drive and attempting to run from the machine. If that works consistently then you can be relatively certain that the issue was communication related.

Thanks for fast answer!

Seems like usb-cable was the issue.
