Lightburn lost connection with Omtech

Please help! Lightburn suddenly says “laser doesn’t appear to be connected to the computer” it was working yesterday. This has happened before and i just restart lightburn and its fine but that isnt working. i’ve checked all connections and rebooted everything but no change

I’m using an Omtech Polar 50w co2 on a Lenovo desktop running windows 10 & using Lightburn 1.4.01

Sometimes windows does an update and the mess up your drivers. I assume you’re running usb?

All I can suggest is to look at your device manager and see if it’s seeing the Ruida.


I think you can put that machine on your lan, like I have mine. That way it’s there are no drivers to mess with. The standard network drivers are used and are pretty foolproof.
