Got my new Lightburn ready Monport K40 set up and ready to use(installed it into LB, aligned the mirrors, focal test) and now LB cant find it. It was there and working like it should, then stopped. I deleted it and tried to find it again, didnt work. Tried adding it manually, and I think it found the machine, but the laser isnt responding to any commands. Any ideas?
Check if you have another program grabbing connection to the laser
I don’t. I’ve only ever ran LB.
I think what @parsec means is ensure no other usb device is plugged in… usually reduces confusion.
If you look at the ports available, then plug in the machine, again look at the ports there should be a new one, that’s the laser.
You can also check the device manager for usb devices.
When these usb ports disconnect them increment their number and create a new device.
If you are using ttyUSB0, it could be ttyUSB1 or so on… same with ttyS0, the digit can be any number.

It must have been my 7 year old laptop giving up the ghost. I grabbed a different computer and its not having the issue, so far. Lol
