Just set up a new XTool S1 and using LightBurn 1.7.04 and can’t get the exhaust fan to come on when laser starts. It works with the free version of XTool Creative Space.
It’s likely not something that is standard grbl. You’ll have to wait for a Lightburn person who can answer it directly, but some things require their software to work correctly. The curved item is one of them that I’m pretty sure Lightburn doesn’t support.
There is also an m7 or m8 option in the device settings. Don’t know if this needs to be modified.
It took me some trouble shooting to figure this out myself. Yes you do have to enter the “Device Settings” in Lightburn. Once open look towards the bottom right of the pop-up window and there is an option for M7 or M8. Switch this to be M7 and click yes through the warning as you do have the proper air assist component installed.

Turns out if was because I set it up manually instead of downloading the file from XTool site. I downloaded the file from XTool and everything is fine.
