I bought the program before I bought my laser. There are lots of Longer brand lasers running the latest version, so you should not worry.

So we know what we are working with:

  1. Laser model, and type (10w diode, 40w CO2, etc.). = 10w diode
  2. Computer, PC or MAC? = HP PC
  3. Computer OS version. = Win11
  4. CH340 driver installed? = Yes
  5. Does the OS “ding” when the USB cable is connected?
  6. Does the USB connection appear in the System settings, like Win Device Manager)?
  7. What COM port does the System report?
  8. Is that COM port selected in Lightburn?
  9. Did you try replacing the USB cable with another?
  10. Is the USB cable shieled and have a ferrite (big knot) supressor on it?
  11. Is the PC connector USB-A or USB-C?
