Hi All. I have a 60W Mopa fiber laser and a 80W CO2. I have both licenses for Lightburn. When I first installed Lightburn. I could use both laser just fine. Then a windows update crashed my laptop hard. I installed a new SSID upgrade since I had to reinstall windows anyway. I’ve reinstalled EZCAD and Lightburn with the galvo driver. Oh and I should add, I also installed my CO2 with Lightburn Bridge which I previously hadn’t. I’ve imported the EZCAD mark7cfg file for the fiber. Lightburn recognizes the laser, it will frame but it will not burn. I hear a sound as if the laser is moving but no laser output. I uninstalled the galvo driver and tried with EZCAD and the laser works fine. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled Lightburn. Removed my CO2 laser too but still not working. Anyone experience this issue and solve it? Thank you.
My only suggestion would be to ensure the device settings are correct… You can compare them to mine and see if there is a difference… I have a 60W JPT M7 MOPA
Good luck
Thank you for the information! I tried your settings but I got the same result. It was worth a shot, though. In the end I solved the problem but I’m not quite sure what caused the issue in the first place. Just in case someone else encounters the same issue…this is what I did to solve it. I uninstalled Lightburn again but before reinstalling I deleted all the registry entries for Lightburn that I was allowed to (I don’t suggest anyone do this that doesn’t know how to edit the registry safely. Always make a backup before editing). I reinstalled the most recent Lightburn version, I selected the EZCAD2 driver just as before, loaded in my markcfg7 and whola the hole thing worked. Something was hanging it up in the registry. I’m not sure why since it was a new SSD, fresh windows and Lightburn install. I haven’t reinstalled my CO2 with Lightburn bridge so there could be another issue but I deal with that a little later.
Glad your up again… too bad windows has us trained to remove, reinstall, mess with drivers, reboot, remove, reinstall, sacrifice somebody to the Windows gods… reboot … sad…
I have few issues running Ubuntu Linux…
Have fun
