Lightburn on Mac OS Sequoia – does it work?

I’m thinking about upgrading my OS to Sequoia Mac (M1 MacbookPro) – but can only do that if Lightburn functions on that problem free… I have searched the forum for similar questions, and found 2, but they never got an answer… (?)
Can someone please help me out?
Thank you!

Hello Mirjam

No problems reported so far.

Have you tried the Trial?

Hi, thanks!
The trial…?
I’ve been working with Lightburn for several years now, all great!
My question is just about the new MacOS Sequoia – want to make sure it will keep working flawlessly!

I have it running on a M1 Mac Mini and M1 Air, without issues.

Ok, good to know, thank you.

Can I ask another question: I read somewhere Apple Removes Ability to Run Unsigned Apps in OS 15.1
So no more sideloading, like we have been doing.
What does this mean for Lightburn?

I’m running 15.1.1 on a Mac Studio.
No problems or issues with LightBurn.

Thank you!

I am having issues. I have LB in my Mac desktop running OS Ventura 13…7.1 and I can open and see all my projects and designs.

I updated my Mac laptop to Sequoia 15.0.1 and I can open the same projects but CAN’T see the designs.

Not sure how to fix this. any help will be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Hi Liz, so there is nothing in your project files?! :flushed:

Project contents not showing up would be catastrophic for me – I hope you’ll get an explanation solution for this soon…
I’m still waiting with the upgrade to Sequoia.

What happens when you create a new project with new cut layers?

Could you post one of your project files?

I’m have a MacBook Pro 16" M1, an older Intel MacBook Pro 15", and an M4 Mac Mini. All three work just fine for me on the latest OS available for each (Ventura 16.1.1 for hte M1 and M4, Monterey on the Intel MacBook Pro). I’ve had no issues at all with any of the three.

Thank you – I’m working with MacBookPro 16’', MacOS Ventura, all perfectly fine.
My question is about the newest Mac OS Sequoia…

Oops… I got both the name and version wrong. I’m using Sequoia 15.1.1 on both the M1 and M4, again, with no issues.
