Hi I’ve been using lightburn for a little while and came across an issue I’m hoping you may be able to help with. I have two diode lasers and one of them has been a problem. So while trying to figure it out I reset all my settings in light burn. Well it’s an issue with the machine itself and when I hooked up my other diode that actually works it’s now saying that it may be out of bounds due to overscan settings. I have never messed with those settings and it is at the default setting of 2.5%. The image is inbounds for sure. Any help is appreciated
My first question is “What is your speed setting?”
To see what Lightburn is telling you, create a box on a new layer that is the size of your laser workspace. This is so it will be visible in the Preview window. Select your work and the new box.
Now open the Preview window and turn on Show traversal moves. That will show what Lightburn is telling the laser to go when it is NOT burning.
If that does not show going outside the bounding box, let us know.
Another way, load the file, select all and decrease the size of the work area and see if there is another frame outside the work area. It’s happened to me a couple of times. I’ve moved something off the work area and forgotten about it. I think LA Hobby Guy did a short video about it sometime ago. That may reduce the possibilities by one . Good luck.
