Lightburn reinstallation problem

Hi,
I just started with lightburn 6 days ago. After stopping a cut-job. The software told me that a job was not finished and asked me if I would like to reopen it. Approx 5 seconds later the Programm closes itself. After various tries and restarts I decided to deinstall and reinstall it. This simply doesn’t work. After asking the installation path the installation closes itself and thats it. Any ideas?
Best regards
Lori

You may have something still running on the computer. Try restarting the computer and then reinstall.

Hi, I did this twice and still no chance on installing.

Odd. Are you experiencing any other issues on your computer?

Check 2 things:

  1. In Add or Remove Programs do you still see an entry for LightBurn? If so, try removing again.
  2. In the Installation Path that’s specified when installing LightBurn, check the actual directory location and see if there are any files there. This is typically located in “%PROGRAMFILES%\LightBurn” where “%PROGRAMFILES%” is usually “C:\Program Files”.

Can you confirm what you find?

I tried deinstallation 3 times. The Icon removed after the third round. The files where still there other drive d:// lightburn so I delete these files manually. No other issues on the computer everthing else works fine.

You’re saying there’s no indication as to why the installation is failing?

Can you try one thing:

  1. Open File Explorer
  2. Navigate to “%LOCALAPPDATA%”, find the LightBurn directory and delete it.
  3. Try reinstalling.

Did all the above and deleted tmp files from . today. Still dies not work. I have no idea.

I’d suggest sending an email to support@lightburnsoftware.com with a link to this Topic explaining what’s going on. They may be more familiar with these types of installation challenges.

Ok, thanks for your help.
