I am trying replace the Laser on a GWeike G1 with a Laser Tree LT-80w-aa-PRO 12v. Since the GWEIKE is 24v, I am using an external 12v power supply. All seems to be working with the exception of power output. I am using Lightburn with the Smoothieware device settings. The $$ in the console doesn’t work using smoothieware. Does anyone know how I can confirm S settings. The laser power seems to be very low. Is this a lightburn settings issue?
I only use console, but I believe you can also use edit> machine settings to get those.
That’s correct. I don’t see an option to set the S-Value when using the Smoothieware device profile, but you should not need to adjust it, because the value on the controller is still the same if you’ve only swapped the laser diode.
I sense a few potential stumbling blocks in the manual of the Laser Tree module
Since the Gweike works with 24v, you must use the “driver adapter”.
Pictures of your wiring could help us locate the issue.
