I received a WeCreat 45w Vision Pro 2 weeks ago and cannot get Lightburn to work on it. My OS is Windows 11 and it is connected via USB. I am using Lightburn Pro 2.0.05 software. I have downloaded and imported the Lightburn configuration file from WeCreat website. I have set the Design Units to Inches in Settings and Machine Units to Inches/Min in Device Settings.
When I attempt to move the laser 10 inches for X or Y, it only moves 10 millimeters. If I draw a 5β x 5β box on the canvas and tell Lightburn to frame it, it moves 5 mm x 5 mm. I can use the WeCreat MakeIt software but would rather use the Pro version of Lightburn for many reasons. I have followed all of the tutorials I can find and nothing works. WeCreat Support has told me they cannot assist since they donβt have any experience with Lightburn. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Do not have your machine, so I am going to assume the configuration file was loaded successfully.
There are two mm/in settings, one for the workspace and another for the laser.
Your laser is a diode laser, so you only need the Core version of Lightburn unless you also have a CO2 or Fiber type laser as well. The only difference is the output controls for the laser types. The design environment is the same.
The configuration file was successful in loading and the 2 areas of the software were checked as you indicated. I have since uninstalled and reinstalled Lightburn and attempted to frame a 10" x 10" box. It still only moves 10mm x 10mm. Before I return the machine to WeCreat, I had hoped to determine it was my oversight. I think now itβs a compatibility issue with WeCreat.
With regard using Lightburn with a CO2 laser, I have access to one at our Woodworkers Guild so I do need to keep the version of Lightburn that I have.
Thank you for your response!
