Lightburn setup issue

Hey guys…

Just getting started with my monport gq 50w fiber and having some issues. First of all I’m on a MacBook Air running big sir… yes I know it’s not up to date but big sir is the farthest I can go with the system it’s running….

I have lightburn 1.7.3 installed and when I first started it let me find the laser and everything was ok. Then when I hit frame it stopped responding and would not work. I tried shutting everything down emoving the laser and starting over but now when I select find laser it locks up at that point and lightburn stops responding.

Note* when it did let me get the device added the first time it let me run one material test. Then stopped mid run and on the lazer/framing tab as shown in the pics attached it flickered back and fourth frame then disconnected…

Also I have tried a new usb cable to rule that out with no luck on fixing it.

I will also add that I installed the cnfg7 file when prompted when finding laser and such as well when it let me find it. BUT AS OF NOW IT WONT EVEN LET ME FIND A DEVICE WITHOUT FORCE QUITING AND SHUTTING DOWN

Same boat, kinda… MacBook Air (latest sequoia) has never found Monport 40w laser.
