Lightburn suddenly not recognizing laser after 2 years of no issues

Try this for me Cynthia please when able

On your Big Sur Mac,

Open LightBurn → Go to Help Menu > Enable Debug Mode

Then plug your laser - in the laser pannel HOLD Control button and CLICK on the Devices button

(This forces a refresh)
check the drop down, any new ports?

Do it again Ctrl + Click on devices

if nothing works - Close LightBurn → Go to Mac default Documents and send us the lightburn.txt file here or to support@lightburnsoftware.com please.

Hi Gil. So sorry for the very delayed response. This issue just wasn’t making any sense to me. I began to feel it was an os issue or hardware issue on my end. After several misfires today with Apple techs, and 6 hours later, I finally found one who corrected what the other techs had made worse and actually fixed the issue by erasing my entire computer and re-downloading the Big Sur os. Laser and lightburn are working great and all the components are now communicating well with each.

So the issue was either hardware or os on my end and not lightburn. I’m so sorry for the run around and the time and resources you spent when the issue was mine all along.

Thank you again. You are awesome and amazing.
