Nb. Wouldn’t it be more practical to create a category that only deals with specific questions regarding new LB versions, “perhaps-bug” reports, a bit like the beta section?
It is possible that I do not understand the procedure correctly, but when I enter 10mm into padding and/or edge buffer, I expect 10mm distance and not 20mm between shapes and up to the outer edges of the workspace X and Y.

The problem is that it is the distance between 2 (or more) shapes that is determined by a certain distance, so 10mm BETWEEN 2 shapes should be 10mm, it works fine. But from X and Y (0:0) this value is halved.
The official definition of padding is
”Use Padding to set the minimum distance between parts. The number is in either millimeters or inches, depending on your Design Units.”
My fix ensures in both docking/nesting that the value set is the distance between parts. you can use the measuring tool to verify.
EdgeBuffer is newer concept evolved out of nesting which applies to docking as well.
It is distance from the “wall”/workspace edge to the parts.

I just came across a bad mistake in my post, which I hereby correct.
The distance is doubled - not halved!! When placing a shape at the outer edges with e.g. 10mm, the distance from the shape to the outer edges becomes 20mm (if you use 10mm for edge buffer and padding at the same time.) - Between shapes the distance is correct.
