Lightburn vs LaserGRBL

I’m making jigsaw puzzles using a Atomstack A5 Pro. When using LaserGRBL I can cut my material at 100% 500 mm/min 4 passes. When using the same settings in Lightburn it is nowhere near cut. Is there some other setting I’m missing? The only difference I see is that LaserGRBL passes the entire drawing 4 times where Lightburn passes each line 4 times.

It sounds like your S Value Max may be set to 255 in LightBurn. Most GRBL lasers nowadays use a range of 1-1000 for the S value (power setting).

Please go to ‘Edit > Device Settings’ in LightBurn and see if this is the case. It’s in the lower right corner of that page:

A small addition - if your s-value has been 255, it’s very likely that you added your laser as type “grbl-m3”. Change the laser type to “grbl” to get all features of the current firmware versions. I guess Atomstack doesn’t use such outdated firmwares that grbl-m3 is required as type.

Thank you both. I have changed both settings and will be trying to cut soon.

That worked. Thank you both again!
