I have been using LightBurn for a couple of years now and always worked perfectly, recently on two separate machines with completely different installations. On both macines Snapmaker can frame the project on the Snapmaker from within LightBurn so I know the two are communicating but when it comes time to run a job nothing moves - yes, the cuts and moves settings are set properly - the job timer just counts down to zero and then the estimated time starts going negative.
reinstalled version 1.4.00 and system works perfectly
noticed version 1.5.02, and not knowing if that release was meant to address the above issue, I installed it hoping for the best, but again the system will frame a project, but will not burn a project.
reinstalled version 1.4.00 and everything works perfectly again
I just started using Lightburn with my Snapmaker Artisan and got it to control the head and be able to home, frame, etc. But yeah, same issue. It’s usually when I start the job and it gets stuck on “starting stream” in the console.
I was eventually able to get something started a little bit with running the Gcode inline but it eventually disconnected and stopped mid-job, so I’ve just been saving the gcode and running it on Luban for now.
Since I’ve just started using Lightburn I’ve never had it actually working start to finish. It seems Snapmaker just did a lot of firmware updates that change how the laser works with Lightburn and I’m assuming it introduced a bunch of bugs or Lightburn hasn’t caught up with the changes yet, so I’m waiting for things to settle down.
