Lightburn will not connect to xTool D1 Pro

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I have not used my D1 Pro 20W for about six months. Now when attempting to use it, Lightburn gives me a message “Waiting for connection. Port already in use?’.
I am running Lightburn on a MacBook Pro with Sonoma 14.0. All required drivers have been loaded.
I have checked for all updates to both software and firmware and have installed all of them.
XCS functions fine when connecting to the laser. I have also confirmed that XCS is not running when attempting to use Lightburn.

Any pointers?
