Lightburn will not open on Mac

I have been using Lightburn just fine, using a Pro licence key, for a few months, then it stopped working.

I last used it successfully in July.

Now it will not open, the icon bounces in the dock like it’s working, but eventually stops and shows “Application not responding”.

I have tried removing and reinstalling the software.

There has even been an update since it failed, and I’ve tried the new version, to no avail.

I have tried going back to previous versions and it doesn’t work.

I’m out of ideas

I need to get this sorted as paying for a licence seems like a bad investment now.

This seems to indicate the issue is with the MAC, not with Lightburn. Otherwise the roll back would work as it previously did.

Not a MAC user, but replied to let you your posting is being read.

There are specific things they’ll check first, and can then gather info to figure out what’s actually freezing.

If it gives you the spinning beach ball and says “not responding”, try doing a SpinDump and posting that here.

Just a thought - but one of the early symptoms of the internal SSD in my MacBook Pro going bad was certain software not working just as you describe. Don’t know if your Mac has an SSD or how old it is, but it might be worth running the Disk Utility and see if there are any errors?

Interesting. It had better not be that, it’s only 6 months old!

Let’s hope not - but it should be under warranty if so. Alternatively, have you loaded any other software recently that might have messed up some of thelibraries Lightburn uses? Or deleted anything from your system area?
