Hi all, when trying to update Lightburn from 1.4.01 to the latest version, I click on [Help], [Check for Updates], and I receive a popup stating “A Network Error Occurred: Network Access is Disabled”.
I do not have any antivirus on my PC as it’s Linux.
Could anyone advise on how to correct this?
Thanks
Mike
All that really does is link to the website to download the update. It’s just as easy to go to the LightBurn Website, and download the newest version and install it. There are many documented issues with numerous Linux distributions and libraries required for the version check.
Thanks for the response. I thought of that but I was concerned it might use another 1 of my install slots and I only get 3 installs per license. I will give it a go anyway.
Thanks again.
Mike
I installed the new version manually and it works. The [check for updates] button works now too and no longer gives an error.
Regards
Mike
Just to follow up, you are misunderstanding how the licensing works. You get 3 “Seats” with your license, which means you can install and run on 3 different computers at the same time. You can deactivate one of those, and install on a different computer at any time. If your computer crashes or something, you can access the License Portal that LightBurn provides and manually remove it as well. You are not limited to 3 installs for life. Glad you got it resolved.
