Leider hat Ligthburn mit der letzten Version 1.7 die Linux Version einfach gestrichen. Sicher ist den Machern von Lightburn entgangen, dass Windows Spionage Betriebssystem 11 extreme Abwanderung zu verzeichnen hat, weil niemand mehr Lust hat, sich jeden Tastaturanschlag ausspionieren zu lassen. Linux ist deutlich auf dem Vormarsch, nicht von heute auf morgen, aber es gibt genug Anwender, die von Microsoft die Nase voll haben. Ich arbeite seit langem mit Linux und Mac. Linux bietet mir aber völlige Datensicherheit, bei Windoofs völlige Spionage und Kontrolle. Lightburn denkt leider auch nur ans Geld, Linux würde sich nicht lohnen. Klar, damit kann man nicht Millionen umsetzen. Mit Mac hat Lightburn ein ähnliches Problem, eine Anpassung auf die M Prozessoren, schaffen die seit 6 Jahren nicht. Meine Meinung nach, machen die nichts, außer kassieren. Weiterentwicklung geht gegen null, Anwender haben keine Meinung bei Lightburn, es zählen nur dessen Dollars$$$$$$. Wer in der heutigen Zeit auf der Stelle tritt, ist morgen weg, aber das verstehen die sogenannten “Experten” nicht. Viel Erfolg beim Absturz

In my opinion, they do nothing but collect their money. Further development is practically nonexistent; users have no say at Lightburn, only their dollars matter. Hi Uwe, In the few minutes you have read about this topic here in the forum, you probably haven’t reached the detailed thread that deals precisely with the actual stopping of the development of LB for Linux.
Besides the fact that I highly recommend you read it so that you get the real facts about LB in place, the other thing you describe about development for Mac OS is nonsense and not true. Please stick to the facts.

I am also sorry that the Linux version stopped at 1.7.8 but including me, we were only 1% of all LightBurn users.
LightBurn is not a charity or a friendly association that collects small coins for amputated dogs, LB is a professional program for controlling laser machines, for people who use the program to earn money to live for and earn money for the owner of LB to pay his people properly and get the profit he honestly deserves.

The development has been very intense for the first 7 years and will not stop tomorrow, so you can be absolutely sure that if your prophecies come true sometime in the future, there will also be a LightBurn for Linux. Whether it will take 25% or more, I don’t know, but it has to be economically sound and it is just as fair as I charge for my products, made with the help of LightBurn.

LightBurn runs fine on my M4 Macbook (Apple silicon) with LightBurn 2.1.03.
The new MillMage 0.9.00 Beta hasn’t revealed any issues with the M4 Macbook either.

There are many Linux sympathizers, enthusiasts and proponents at LightBurn. I was also disappointed to see it go. The Linux users contributed greatly to the forum and to the community at large. Many are still around, others are missed.
