I can confirm that by uninstalling lightburn, clearing out the install folder and reinstalling v1.7.3 it works. Just installing 1.7.3 as an upgrade failed to launch.
The remaining contents of the install folder after uninstallation was just 1 file which appeared to be a 2017 VS Distributable exe.
Thank you both for confirming
We are not yet particularly sure why this happens. but I believe is because of iterative upgrades over time
I am assuming both of you have been using Lightburn for a good while on those computers?
I have been using it on that machine since mid to late 2018.
The hand full of users that I have seen having to use this more ânuclearâ option seem to be long term users.
We are still trying to find which file isnât being overwritten correctly.
But at least now we have a safe work arround
I jus thought I would let you know that this is the file that I had to delete to solve this issue.
vcredist_2017_x64.exe
Not sure if it helps at all.
