Lightening/Darkening of a photo before engraving?

I’ve got a 100 watt machine. I’m doing some engraving of photos MDF that has the white (similar to dry-erase) coating.

I’m using dithering. I’ve found that some of the photos require tweaking (lightening/darkening) before bringing into lightburn and dithering.

Is there a way to do this within lightburn? And if not - is there a super easy workflow you could recommend? I have a process myself, but I need to do it on 200 different photos. and I’m hoping there is a quicker way.

LightBurn does provide image adjustments which can be found on the ‘Shape Properties’ page shown below.

LightBurn does not provide an automated way to adjust 200 images in a single go. If this is what you are after, you will need to use an image tool with those features first.

Sweet! Had no idea that was there. Brightness and contrast take care of 99% of my needs.

Thanks Rick!!

Lowering Gamma will bring up mid-tones and can help reduce over-burn.
