Longer B1-30W or B1-40W with Extension Kit Settings

Can anyone who has a Longer B1-30 or B1-40 with the extension kit share their machine and device settings file? I need a good baseline to make sure mine is working properly. When I installed the new machine I had to reverse the x and y homing settings. I got past that so it now does the homing. But I have an issue where it will not create a perfect circle. I have flashed the firmware and was given a settings file from the manufacturer but I do not know how to install the settings from the .nc file. I am hoping I can compare it to someone’s real-world usage. I am hoping it’s just some setting I need to adjust Cutting the circle was worse but I adjusted the tension on the belts and it’s better. It just has a little clip now.

Any help will be greatly appreciated…

There should be no need to do anything other than expand the Y axis $131 settings

What i can see on your circle is, assuming i got Y X correct your belts are loosee!

i would 1stly clear firmwre settings to defaults with
$RST=*

Then make sure the gantry is ok by doing some test near home
When done you just need to adjust $131 to new Y lenght
And Edit-> device settings on lightburn

Gilaraujo,
How tight should the belts feel? Before I adjusted I could see them shake and wobble when I used the laser so after some searching on here I saw the belts needed to be tightened. Im still pretty new to the laser world. On my previous laser the belts came installed and I did not have to adjust. This was more of an assembly so I was a bit carful not to adjust too much. I will tighten a bit more and try.

Is there a way to load the B1-config.nc file they sent? It has a bunch of $(###) but I hope I do not need to enter each line individually.

Thanks for the speedy reply!

Very difficult to explain in words what tight is

Visual reference below and a test file that will expose any issues

Dot Test with Angle.lbrn (46.3 KB)
Belts

Compare your belts to the above
Also run the test file in a bit of cardboard or wood and take a upclose image and send please?

Here are the results. I also tightened the belts a bit more and the concentric nuts.

No adjustments

Switched the layer order…spiral pattern first

New circle

Thanks again

I think you need to check your X belts and or sproket
Notice a bit of flatness on left/right side of yoru Circle

you might want to look at the Y on the design too.
But your Y need a bit more too or the axis is not square
You are NEARLY there 90% though
However all compounding in big designs you get those offsets

Try tightening X a bit more and repeat, 1 axis at a time

Looks significantly better

let me ask though
is the square, if you measure it with a ruller, a square?
looks Y is elongaged

Any chance you have Rotary enabled?

Enable Rotary is not enabled. I think the frame is not square. This design is flawed to me in that there are only two screws at each corner. Four would have been better. The square measures 75.5mm x 75.7mm . Great eye!

Should this be cutting out the parts or just scoring them?

Just scoring
Is a belt tensioner test

0.2mm is not too bad looked more
What i would say is try doing some engraving. revisit belt tension in a week or so as they tend to settle

If test is as above you should be ok for 99% of precision yo might need

LOL OK…ive been picking up these little pie pieces every time like this test is a lot to clean up…LOL. I was able to make these coasters before I flashed the firmware but now I notice the bottom two do not have perfect circles. This was from an image and when the belts were super loose.
