I have a Longer B1 40W laser machine. The machine works well but will not fire. It was working fine a month ago and I have upgraded to a new Macbook Pro with all drivers installed. All system settings are correct as I have researched online ($$30=1000/S value=1000). It has to be a simple solution but I cannot figure it out. Please help!! Thank you!
Never? Test with the Fire button? Did you install the .lbdev file from the old machine to the new one?
I do not know what That file is. I received a new laser to replace the old one and still not laser light. I am blown away and know it has to be something simple!! I wish someone could call me that knows about lasers and can walk me thru the issue.
If you do not know what it is, you probably never had one.
“…will not fire.” It will help if you let us know if the laser lights up under any conditions. Try the Move window Fire button at 1% power.
Check your power connector to the laser.
The fire button is activated and the laser moves as though it is engraving the image. It will not fire when manually activated.
All cables have been disconnected and reconnected
The Fire button is for testing. You turn it on and off while it is sitting still.
Does that work?
No. The laser will not fire when fire button is selected.
Have you tried LaserGRBL? It may be a hardware problem.
