Is it normal for the fan to remain on from the moment the Laser is turned on? My other laser, this is not the case, the fan will only turn on while the laser is in use.
Lightburn does not control fan. Probably done on the laser control board. Brand specific. Mine stays on.
Do you know anything about the Air Assist, how can you tell when it’s working. I have it all hooked up but still getting a lot of smoke. Is the purpose just to keep it away from the laser?

I turn mine on manually. For me it is more about keeping lens clean.
That’s very common, I’d say. The fan on the laser module is usually not to be controlled. If the sound is annoying, just turn the laser off while designing, it doesn’t need to be connected to use LightBurn.
