Opened lightburn 1.7.06 this morning and my console window shows macro 0,1,2,3,4,5.
It used to be Engrave, Raise 22mm, cut 2mm, cut 3mm ect. I have tried everything I can find on the web but nothing works, I have removed the app and reinstalled lightburn but they are still there.
Thank you for any help that may reset my console buttons. Running HP laptop windows 10.
Do you still have the contents of the macros? You can just right-click on those buttons and set the commands.
If those buttons weren’t created by you, they might have been included in a device profile bundle, so import that again.
Another option is to load the backup settings via file menu, from a date that you remember they were there.
They just showed up when I turned them on, when I right click on them they are all empty, I’m new to lightburn and don’t know anything, still trying to learn, I’ll look for the backup to restore old settings. Thank you for all your help.
If you install LightBurn the first time, those are always empty. They are meant to be user-programmed. But as mentioned, if you didn’t program then, you imported them. Most likely, you imported a device profile or vendor bundle that included the macros. You might also take a look at the manual or vendor homepage.
Went to backup and everything is from today. I guess when I uninstalled lightburn and reinstalled it it got rid of earlier restore sessions.
As far as I know I haven’t imported anything.
Where did you get your device profile? Those would be included in that. So as Dodge suggested, just add the device again.
I will try and get it off the TF card again.
Thank you.
I loaded the device again and it says GRBL is my device but the buttons are still missing.
Was this after an Update ? Have you tried reloading your preferences from when you could see them ? File>Preferences>Reload Preferences
I will try that, thank you.
The problem is solved.
I reset my computer to an earlier time and it solved the problem I was having in lightburn.
All my buttons are back where they belong. Lightburn had to have something the windows registry that made uninstalling and reinstalling to keep the same settings in lightburn.
Thank you everyone for all your help.
Have a great weekend.
