That drop list is only updated when expanded, regardless of platform.

I did disconnect ttyUSB1 , opening/closing the droplist, or licking “choose” does not remove it from the list. This causes some confusion now-and-then.
All I do is query the system itself for the list of current devices. I suspect Linux (or the framework we use) is not getting the disconnect immediately.
in this case, it does not seem to get the disconnect ever, I had it like this since yesterday.
