Mac Mini M2 compatibility - XTool S1 & F1 and Aeon Mira

Need to get a new machine to run Lightburn and drive a few lasers - XTool S1 & F1 and an Aeon Mira CO2

Looking at a Mac Mini M2, but not getting a clear answer if it will play nice being an ARM chip etc.

I see some older post but nothing “recent”. Any formal guidance? Or anyone that can provide real-world experience?

Thanks

I do my dev work on an M2 max and my personal computer is an M3 max. Apple still will run x86_64 applications. We are working towards getting native ARM support on Mac, however.

While I do have a dedicated Windows laptop for the shop now, before moving I was using an M1 Mac Mini for everything LightBurn and had no issues.

Thanks! Sounds like I’d be good to go. Looks like a new Mac Mini with M4 will be coming out end of year so likely going to make do with my personal laptop and hold off on dedicating a machine to the station until that is released - and then either buy a M2 at much lower price or future proof with the M4
